The Hat and Boots were originally built as a service station in 1954 and located on East Marginal Way and Corson, then moved to this local Georgetown Park. The hat has undergone a complete renovation with the scaffolding system resulting in a complex design. The hat was enclosed with a weather protection system to permit the application of the exterior finish during adverse weather. It has been unveiled and is available to be viewed as one of Seattle's icons.
